Denzel Perryman

Watching Denzel Perryman makes me wonder if his short stature has him projected for the second instead of first round. He is going to make an NFL team very happy to have him as an inside or middle linebacker at the next level. He has tremendous instincts, sheds blocks well and can cut under offensive linemen to make tackles.

He’s also good in coverage and uses that short, squatty body as leverage to be the hardest hitting linebacker in college football. His build is similar to that of James Harrison and you know what he does to people when he hits people. Saturday night, he had nine tackles with one for a loss and had a hit on Florida State tight end Nick O’Leary that you could hear from with the TV volume all the way down.
