USC WR Nelson Agholor has declared for the NFL Draft
By Peter Smith
USC wide receiver Nelson Agholor has announced that he will forgo his senior season and declare for the 2015 NFL Draft. After being part of a dynamic duo with Marqise Lee who was a second round pick for the Jacksonville Jaguars this past year, Agholor became the featured receiving threat for the Trojans and along with a much more comfortable Cody Kessler at quarterback, had a huge season in terms of production.

Agholor, listed at 6′ 190lbs was able amass 104 receptions for 1,313 yards for 12 touchdowns in 13 games as a true junior. Additionally, Agholor was a dynamic threat as a punt returner with 2 touchdowns on 19 returns at 10.37 yards each, which was impressive, but nowhere near as good as he was during his sophomore year. During that season, he had an average of 19.06 yards per return in addition to two more touchdowns.
USC has specialized in not overly big, but fast and precise receivers over the past several years. Robert Woods, like Lee, was a second round pick and Agholor could find himself going in the same area of the NFL Draft. Kessler, meanwhile, has been reported as likely going back to USC for another season and it will be interesting to see if this announcement has any impact on his decision in a weak quarterback class.
