Alabama wide receiver Amari Cooper will forgo his senior year and declare for the 2015 NFL Draft, according to a report from Chris Low of ESPN.  Cooper was the most dominant wide receiver in the 2015 college football season and will potentially be the top receiver selected in the NFL Draft.  The expectations were so high for Cooper that even in the Sugar Bowl where Cooper caught 9 passes for 71 yards and two touchdowns, the feeling was that he did not get the ball enough in Alabama’s loss.

Listed at 6’1″ 190lbs, Cooper has a tremendous skill set and is a reputed hard worker but his sheer lack of size could limit just how high he goes in the NFL Draft.  This could potentially be a mistake as Odell Beckham Jr. did not have ideal size either and was the most dominant rookie receiver this past season.

The hiring of Lane Kiffin as offensive coordinator proved to be a huge blessing for Cooper as he was more productive as a junior than he was as a freshman and sophomore combined.  Cooper caught 124 passes for 1,727 yards and 16 touchdowns, which earned him a trip to New York for the Heisman Trophy ceremony.
