By Peter Smith
Florida State cornerback Ronald Darby will forgo his senior season and declare for the 2015 NFL Draft, according to a report by Rand Getlin of Yahoo Sports. Darby joins fellow corner P.J. Williams and defensive end Mario Edwards have already declared and the expectation is that defensive tackle Eddie Goldman will leave as well, which would make four underclassman starters from the Seminoles defense leaving in addition to quarterback Jameis Winston, who also declared.

Darby, listed at 5’11” 195lbs, recorded 28 tackles, 1 tackle for loss and 4 pass deflections and a forced fumble in 14 games this season. In his three seasons at Florida State, Darby has played in 42 games in various corner spots in the secondary without missing a game. Between he and Williams, Darby was regarded as the better pure cover corner with his speed and agility while Williams was the more physical of the pair, willing to lay the wood as a former safety.
Head coach Jimbo Fisher has been a terrific recruiter but after a National Title and qualifying for the first College Football Playoff, Fisher will be faced with really replenishing his roster after basically losing his entire offense and defense over the past two seasons.
