The Book on Gordon

The scouting world looks at Gordon as a play-maker that has excellent speed to take it the distance. They also like his size and even though he’s no Todd Gurley, he has power and doesn’t go down on the first swipe. They also gave Gordon high marks on his vision, patience, balance and ability to cut on a dime.

The aforementioned talents the scouting world took notice of is why he had so much production. His 2014 campaign is No. 2 all-time among collegiate running backs behind only Barry Sanders. He rushed for, 2,587 yards, 29 touchdowns and an average of 7.5 yards per carry this past season.

He has no weaknesses as far as carrying the ball goes and he has been durable throughout his college career. But they question his ability a receiver out of the backfield because he doesn’t get many opportunities. The only knock that some of the scouts have on him right now is his ability to pick up the blitz.
