What I See

Gregory’s height and length isn’t debatable as when all else fails, he can use that along with his vertical leap to bat passes down at the line of scrimmage. But all else isn’t going to fail very often as I see the same burst and acceleration off the edge the personnel world sees. I also see his explosive get-off, standing up and with his hand in the dirt, he leaves tackles in their stances with.

He uses his length well as he has fast hands with it to keep opposing tackles’ hands off of him too. Then he has the counter moves I look for in a pass-rusher as he can spin, dip or plant-and-go. What I love about him is he does his homework on opposing tackles so he knows who to bull-rush and who to use finesse with.

And the motor is definitely there with him as I’ve seen him taken to the ground by a double-team, get up and run the play down for a sack. The personnel world was right about his weakness against the run last year but I don’t agree with that now. He consistently sets the edge, turning that play back inside as it wasn’t his fault no one was home against Melvin Gordon and the Wisconsin Badgers.

But I would go in conscious of the knee.
