Bennett has what it takes to be a great 3-technique from burst of the snap to moves to get himself into the backfield. But he really needs to check his heart to see how great he wants to because only the little things keep him from being great. If he consistently hustled, developed a counter move and fight those double-teams, greatness awaits.
Brugler’s bottome line is, “Compares to Mike Daniels, Packers – Bennett reminds some of Daniels, who has the versatility to line up in different schemes and be at the very least a pass-rush specialist. A highly active interior rusher with range and quickness, Bennett finished the 2013 season with 42 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, 7.0 sacks and three forced fumbles. On tape, Bennett saw more snaps as the one-technique early in 2014 and often occupied multiple blockers, but he came on strong down the stretch to finish with 41/14/7.0.
Zlerlein’s bottom line is, ” Bennett is a disciplined, intelligent player who is a fit for teams looking for an upfield disruptor. He relies on his initial burst, hand usage and technique to win at the point of attack. Bennett has the potential to dominate sluggish or weak guards, but might have issues with true power guards in the NFL.
