Size and Strength Check Out

Beasley answered the question the scouting media asked of him as soon as they saw him at the combine. He was listed at 6’3″, 235 pounds at Clemson and that’s a little too light for NFL scouts. He didn’t have problems playing the run at Clemson but you don’t know if he can do it at that weight against the giants of the NFL.

His speed around the corner has is evident but scouts wondered if he could put on the weight he needs. The scouts got their answer at the combine the when they first saw him and it was an emphatic yes. Beasley was confirmed at 6’3″, weighed in at a plus-11 246 pounds and had good arm-length at 32 1/2 inches.

Then in the first drill, he answered the second questions about his strength with another emphatic yes. Beasley bench-pressed 225 pounds a 35 times to beat all linebackers and tied the strongest defensive lineman. So the scouting world has no more questions about his ability to put on the necessary weight to succeed or his strength.
