What it Means for the Bills

Ryan has his defense and it’s much better than the one he left back in New York from last year. So as you know, he’s going to play to his defense and try to control the clock by keeping the ball on offense. He’ll turn quarterback E.J. Manuel, who’s a talented player, into a game manager to keep games close.

Ryan loves to ground and pound so LeSean McCoy is going to get his chance to carry the Bills on offense. Not only will he get carries but Ryan will use McCoy’s ability to catch the ball out of the backfield too. Getting McCoy the ball in space along with check-down routes will help Manuel too.

The Bills will also help Manuel out by splitting out wide, allowing him to take advantage of man coverage on linebackers. But it’s all about the ground and pound and that will open things up for receiver Sammy Watkins down the field. And loosing Kiko Alonzo isn’t a great loss to Ryan because he likes thumpers in the middle of his a 3-4.
