Ryan goes to Buffalo, inherits a great defense and gets a star running back in his prime for the first time in his career. And in exchange, Ryan is giving up a player that doesn’t really fit what Ryan does on defense. Ryan has gone to back-to-back AFC Championship games with less on offense.
Kelly looses a guy that fit has strategic system fine as he led the NFL in rushing with it in 2013. But has far as his conditioning system and other things, he’s not a fit so he had to ship him out. And in exchange, he got a guy he coached in college that’s an up-and-coming football player himself.
However, Alonzo did tear his ACL last year and that could be no problem or lead to more injuries. But either way, both teams got rid of players that don’t fit the scheme or locker room the coach wants to have. Trades cannot be won in the month of March but I predict Ryan will win this one as he’s starting with a better team.
