Changes Around Him

In his two good years, the Raiders had an average offensive line that didn’t always but sometimes blew open big holes. So McFadden would run for 2-3 yards all day then once that big hole came, he took advantage of it and went 20-80 yards on that play. But legendary owner Al Davis passed away during the season so right after, G.M. Reggie McKenzie was hired.

He fired head coach Hue Jackson, who knew how to use McFadden and hired Dennis Allen as head coach. And in turn he hired Greg “Take a” Knapp, the same offensive coordinator that failed with McFadden in his first two years. The offensive line is then in transition again as it takes a different type of lineman to execute zone-blocking.

So McFadden starts constantly running into brick walls again and he’s always broke off again. The Raiders then fire Knapp again but they just never could get McFadden going again. He changed offseason program in 2014 and he played in all 16 games for the first time but still didn’t do well so now he’s in Dallas.
