It’s no secret Chip Kelly has been doing a little house cleaning this off-season. Eagles fans have already seen the departure of Nick Foles, LeSean McCoy and Jeremy Maclin, just to name a few, and while the acquisition of DeMarco Murray helped stem the tide a little, Eagles’ fans have been left wondering just where this franchise is going. Unconfirmed reports out of Philadelphia this morning are that the Eagles and Titans have a deal in place for the #2 pick in the 2015 NFL Draft.

There have been rumblings all year on if Chip Kelly planned to go get Marcus Mariota to run the Eagles offense. Up to this point Chip Kelly has denied the Eagles were willing to pay the price.
“We’re not mortgaging our future for any particular player. That’s just not philosophically what we think is the right thing to do, that you’re going to package 20 picks to move up from 20 to some other spot. We have not had any discussions,” said Kelly in an interview earlier this month.
But today, can assume the Eagles plan to use the #2 pick on former Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota. Last year’s Heisman Trophy winner completed his three-year college career with 10,796 passing yards while throwing 105 touchdowns to only 14 interceptions. He also amassed 2237 rushing yards with 29 rushing scores.
