Teams are putting the finishing touches on their preparation as the 2015 NFL Draft is nearly here.
To preview the draft for the Washington Redskins, I got together with Maurice Barksdale of Riggo’s Rag. Below are my questions followed by his answers.
1. What are the team’s biggest needs heading into the draft and how might they address them?
"The Redskins biggest needs are and edge rusher and an offensive tackle. There should be an edge rusher in Vic Beasley or Dante Fowler Jr. on the board when the Redskins pick. They could also take an offensive tackle with the 38th pick in the second round."

2. What needs to happen for this draft to be considered a success?
"The Redskins need to find an impact player early in the draft and find quality depth on the offensive line and the secondary. They also need to find a running back and a quarterback to develop as well."
3. What in your mind would make this draft a failure?
"If the Redskins don’t get some quality depth on the offensive line and find an impact player with the fifth pick in the draft, then that would be a failure for the Redskins draft."
4. What is a bold prediction for your team this draft?
"I predict the Redskins will draft a quarterback at some point during the draft. Whether it’s Marcus Mariota or another quarterback later in the draft, the Redskins will end up adding a quarterback."
5. What is a draft angle the general public might not be aware of for your team?
"With two-time Pro Bowler Alfred Morris on the team most fans probably wouldn’t think that the Redskins would need a running back. But they lost third down back Roy Helu in free agency and Alfred Morris’ strong suit is not receiving. So the Redskins will more than likely draft a running back in the first three rounds of the draft."
