The Cleveland Browns went 6-3 in the first nine games before the bottom fell out and they missed the playoffs. We can talk about the quarterback situation all you want but nothing good is coming to the Browns until they stop the run. So at No. 12 overall, the Browns went ahead and picked space-eating nose tackle Danny Shelton.

The secondary is great and second-round pick Nate Orchard is going to help coming off the edge. The Browns inside linebackers aren’t bad either so if Shelton works out, they’ll have a shut-down defense. And if you ask anyone around the Browns organization, they’ll tell you they’re happy with the 6’2″ 340-pounder.

Defensive line coach Anthony Weaver told Fox 8 Cleveland, “He’s doing a heck of a job, but he’s a rookie so he makes rookie mistakes. He still has to learn all the defenses and all of those things, but for a rookie at the point he’s at now, I think he’s doing a tremendous job”
