1. Washington Redskins- Jared Goff, QB, California

This is likely the last year of the Robert Griffin III experiment—especially if the Redskins land the No. 1 overall pick. Griffin’s combination of poor play on the field and questionable attitude off it makes it tough to foresee a major turnaround in his career.

Cal’s Jared Goff is my top rated quarterback in this draft thanks to his combination of natural talent and feel for the position. He plays the game with a lot of poise showing the ability to stand in the pocket under pressure.

Goff has good arm strength and is also able to go through his progressions. Like all young quarterbacks he’ll go through some growing pains but he’s a great candidate to take over for Griffin.

Looking at Washington’s roster as a whole there’s reason for optimism. They have talent on defense, weapons on offense and an improving offensive line. Goff will have a chance to help the team find some success early in his career.
