Bottom Line

With Manziel having screwed his head back on striaght, McCown needs to just be his mentor now. If we’re keeping it 100, the Browns aren’t going finish in front of the Steelers or Ravens with him at quarterback. Manziel on the other hand, just might be special now that he’s out of his own way.

He has that it factor to go with his ability to improvise as he picks up playing quarterback in the NFL. So the Browns might as well develop him or look to see what they have in him. At the very least, the Browns need to open the competition and give Manziel the opportunity to earn it.

With one good year in 10, McCown has done nothing to be name the starter so early.
