B-.
The New England Patriots just lost the spiritual and physical heart and soul of their defense in Vince Wilfork. The Patriots know they can’t just replace the man, player and leader the Wilfork is. But they at least had to find someone that could function at the nose tackle position.

So with the very last pick in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft, the Patriots took Malcom Brown. He was considered a steal that the Patriots were shocked he was around for them to pick so late. He was a run-stuffer, he took multiple blockers and he showed some surprising pass-rush ability in college.

And since the Patriots got him in training camp, he has shown that he’s still the same guy. He’s not yet consistent throughout a game but he can disrupt the run-game and push the pocket back. So far, he and the Patriots get a B for finding a good player that can fuction in at nose tackle, Wilfork’s position.
. NT. New England Patriots. MALCOLM BROWN
