Bottom Line

The experts like to talk size and arm strength but those are the two most overrated aspects of playing quarterback. Those are good traits to have but I need to know that you’re good at what you do. And Kessler has shown that he can play the game much more than Hackenberg, Connor and Jones have.

The experts will talk about the talent he’s surrounded by but this is USC’s first year with a full complement of scholarships in years. But Goff has performed with less of an offensive line than all of the prospects on the list. And he has shown all the traits the NFL likes along with performing and showing the toughness under adverse circumstances.

So he is the consensus No. 1 quarterback prospect as well as my No. 1 prospect.
