Seattle Seahawks 3rd-round pick just what they need

Seatttle Seahawks 3rd-round pick Tyler Lockette could be just what the Seattle Seahawks need. This season they’re coming off a close Super Bowl loss to the New England Patriots. Those that saw the Super Bowl know it was the Seahawks that did it to themselves with the call to throw the 1-yardline.
However, it the Seahawks would have had some more game breakers on their offense, the game might not have come down to that. Running back Marshawn Lynch was the only true game-breaker. So when the Seahawks took Lockette, they thought at the very least, he would be a lightning rod in the return game.
And boy has he been that with three punt returns and a kickoff return for a touchdown. But the Seahawks got off to a 3-4 start in their first seven games as they had a myriad of issues to work through. Kam Chancellor held out, Lynch had a hamstring pull and newly acquired tight end Jimmy Graham hadn’t been properly worked into the offense.
But their 20-3 win over the San Francisco 49ers showed they’re past those issues, getting back to who they are. Chancellor has re-gelled with the defense and Lynch had 122 yards rushing with a touchdown. From there, Graham had a couple of big catches and Lockette was able to stretch the field.
He had 5 catches for 79 yards including one for a 43-yard touchdown, the first of his career on offense. Despited being 3-4 right now, the Seahawks are far from dead and it looks like they have righted the ship. If they can get hot and get in the tournament, there’s not telling what they can do with a weapon like Lockette added.
