19. St. Louis Rams (3-3)- Josh Doctson, WR, TCU
Todd Gurley’s performance thus far this season has been eye-popping and what the St. Louis Rams expected. He has solidified the run game and given the offense an identity. However, the Rams still need to add playmakers on offense to keep defenses from stacking the box.
TCU’s Josh Doctson has established himself as a highly productive receiver in TCU’s wide open attack. However, it’s important to note that Doctson isn’t a typical spread-receiver because he has shown the ability to run a wide-array of routes. He someone who’ll work over the middle, take the top off the defense and out-leap defenders in contested situations.
Targeting a wide receiver in the first round seems like the logical course of action and it may just come down to preference. Ole Miss’s Laquon Treadwell, Ohio State’s Michael Thomas and Notre Dame’s William Fuller could also be on St. Louis’ radar.
