The Seattle Seahawks will travel to Minnesota to face the Minnesota Vikings in the wild-card round of the playoffs Sunday. And it now looks like running back Marshawn Lynch will be back in beast mode.  Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll announced Monday, via the Seattle Seahawks‘ official Twitter feed, that running back he’s “ready to go.”

Lynch has missed darn-near two months due to a core muscle issue that ultimately required surgery. Although Carroll knows that Lynch has to get through the practice week without incident or accident, he fully anticipates having “Beast Mode” as his starting running back on Wild Card Weekend.

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport had previously reported that Lynch would only return when fully healthy. So all indications are that Lynch will be the same “Beast Mode” he’s been in previous playoff runs by the Seahawks. The 5-time Pro Bowl running back isn’t the only key starter the team gets back this week.

Strong safety Kam Chancellor and offensive linemen Russell Okung and J.R. Sweenzy will also be back. So not only are they getting healthy these days but they’re getting piping hot as well. And if you look at the team’s 30-6 dismantling of the 13-3 Arizona Cardinals in the regular-season finale, the team looks downright scary.

“Beast Mode,” the “Legion of Boom,” now have a quarterback in Russell Wilson that’s no longer just a game-manager. The last team anyone in the NFC wants to play in these playoffs is the Seahawks. And unfortunately for the Vikings, they have to play them first.
