Last week, Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch pulled out of last weekend’s game against the Minnesota Vikings at the last minute. He told team trainers that his abdominal issue was still not ready for an NFL game. So Lynch spent an extra few days rehabbing the injury while his Seahawks barely survived in Minnesota.

From there, many wondered if Lynch would be there for his Seahawks against the Carolina Panthers. And there’s a lot of concern there because if the Seahawks barely beat the Vikings without Lynch, they’re sure to lose to the Panthers without him. But on Thursday night, Lynch made it clear that he would show up for his team against the Panthers.

He sent a text to ESPN’s Kenny Mayne simply saying, “I’m ready.”

The Seahawks running game took a big hit without Lynch as Christine Michael and Fred Jackson filled in for him. Lynch could have made a difference in the weather and brutal physicality of the game. It would have been interesting to see who would have been genuinely interested in tackling Lynch.

In the coming game, the Seahawks head out to face a team that has arguably the best defense in football. It’s all set up for Lynch to kill two birds with one stone as a result of sitting out last week. While getting the valuable time to heal up more after his abdominal surgery Lynch can come back, help the Seahawks win and show his value to the team.

Devalue the running back position all you want but not Beast Mode!
