2016 NFL Mock Draft
NFL.com’s Daniel Jeremiah released his second 2016 NFL mock draft of the year. Jeremiah is a former scout and one of the better analysts in the media. He does a great job breaking down prospects and isn’t afraid to develop his own opinion.
This is why I personally love taking a look at his work and especially the mock drafts. However, there are plenty of prospects who we don’t see the same way. Evaluating draft prospects is an inexact science that results in many different opinions.
Like most in the draft community, Jeremiah is very high on Florida State’s Jalen Ramsey who he has coming off the board in the top-5. Ramsey is a highly athletic and competitive defensive back who oozes potential. His experience at cornerback and safety make him a versatile defender.
I rate him lower than most because he’s very raw as a player. Florida State decision to move him around the field hurt his ability to focus on one position. He needs to improve his feel for the game, ability to read a quarterback and overall technique.

Jeremiah has Eastern Kentucky’s Noah Spence as a top-10 pick which fits the recent trend. Spence is arguably the top pass rusher in this draft class, but comes with question marks surrounding his character. He was forced to finish his college career at Eastern Kentucky after several off-field issues while he was at Ohio State.
Spence has the talent to be a top-level player in the NFL, but it’s going to take a lot of work by evaluators to determine if his troubled past is behind him.
