Here we are again with another 2016 NFL Power Rankings!

In the offseason edition of my 2016 NFL Power Rankings, we had not yet come to the deadline for which franchise players had to sign a long-term deal. Of course, those that didn’t sign a deal by then would have to either play for the franchise tag or not at all.

And there was no shortage of players that were threatening to sit the 2016 season instead of playing under the tag. These players had the franchise tag put on them because their teams rightfully felt they could not afford to lose them with nothing in return.

And their respective teams would do much better with them than they would without them. Therefore, these players would affect their respective team’s standing in the 2016 NFL Power Rankings. So there were many teams that were ranked lower because they were sitting out at the time.

But the players have since been signed, reported to camp and are practicing with their teams. We’re also starting to see how some of the players in the 2016 NFL Draft class are adjusting to the NFL. We have players with camp injuries and have yet to practice with previous injuries too.
