Sam Bradford hasn’t been with the team two weeks but looks very good. He looks very much like the quarterback that can take the Vikings to the Super Bowl this year.

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Bradford is one of the most talented quarterbacks in the NFL. The Los Angeles Rams picked him No. 1 overall in 2010 and he looked well on his way as a rookie. Then after an injury plagued sophomore campaign, he made progress in his third year.

From there, the injuries came again because the Rams had a turnstile of an offensive line. Then the Rams traded him to the Philadelphia Eagles, where he played very well down the stretch. But they drafted Carson Wentz at No. 2 overall, making him expendable.

My heart goes out to Teddy Bridgewater but his injury was the perfect storm for Bradford. The Eagles traded him to the Vikings where for the first time, he had a team around him. He has the best running back in the game, an emerging receiver and a solid offensive line.

And with that team that he hasn’t been with two weeks yet, he beat the Green Bay Packers. And they did it because of Bradford, not through him managing the game while Peterson runs the ball. The Vikings should have lost to the Tennessee Titans in Week 1.

The Titans dared Bridgewater to beat them, putting nine in the box to stop Peterson. If Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota didn’t turn the ball over twice, the Vikings lose that game. Bridgewater needs Peterson to play well or he has no chance.

Peterson averaged 1.6 yards per carry Sunday night while Bradford threw dimes to get it done. Bradford is a better fit for Norv Turner’s offense because of his big arm. Soon, he remove that eighth and ninth man from the box so Peterson has room to run.

Speaking of Peterson, the injury he suffered Sunday night is just a torn meniscus. I say just because it looked like something much worse when it happened. So he’ll probably miss a couple of games and meanwhile, Bradford keeps the offense going.

The Vikings have a great young defense and with Peterson running the ball, they can go far in the playoffs. But with Bradford now there throwing to Stephon Diggs, the Vikings look like a Super Bowl team. that big arm Bradford has gives the Vikings a dimension they didn’t have before.
