Predicting the 2017 NFL Draft Order.

This order was developed using ESPN’s most recent Power Rankings. The power rankings offer a solid look at how a large group of experts view each team. It’s a great way to check the pulse of the league and work a potential 2017 NFL Draft order.

The 2017 NFL Draft is already pretty unique thanks to three 1st round picks already changing hands. Both the Cleveland Browns and Tennessee Titans have two 1st round picks which were acquired last year.

Cleveland’s situation is almost a worst case scenario for them because of the Philadelphia Eagles success.

The better the Eagles play the lower pick the Browns will get. It also likely means that Carson Wentz is continuing his strong play which really stings because he was selected with the pick they traded away.

We are a long way from determining the final draft order, but it’s nice to get a week-by-week look at how things could shake out.

Playoff teams

The rest of the order is based on a playoff scenario using the power rankings. Basically, a playoff bracket was developed and the win assigned to the high ranked team.
