NFL Power Rankings Week 8
3. Dallas Cowboys – 5-1
The Cowboys had a bye this week. They are rested and ready to pick up where they left off. With the extra week of rest the Cowboys expect Dez Bryant to be ready to go against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night.
The Cowboys have found a way to win behind their to star rookies Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott. Prescott has a total of 1486 passing yards, seven touchdowns and one interception. Elliott has 703 rushing yards, five rushing touchdowns and two fumbles. Only one fumble was lost.
Prescott continues to impress but has a looming question hanging over his head. How long will he remain the starter? Tony Romo was projected to be ready this week but will still be sidelined. But what will the Cowboys do once he is ready.
Jerry Jones says this is Romo’s team, meaning he will be the starter when he returns. The Cowboys like being controversial but is it wise to change what is working so well?
This week they face off with their division foe the Eagles. The Eagles are having a good start to the season also. It is going to be interesting to see what they rookies can do against this high-powered defense.
