Brandon Williams, Nose Tackle

Prediction: Indianapolis Colts ($58M Cap Space)

2nd Option: Chicago Bears ($54M Cap Space)

The Indianapolis Colts owner, Jim Irsay, made a change at General Manager because he was unhappy with the team’s progression. Chris Ballard is now in place and already has some pressure to perform.

His first task is to add some talent to the defensive side of the ball. Brandon Williams is a massive player who excels at shutting down the running game. This is something that the Colts have struggled to do for a long time.

The Bears could consider adding Williams despite having Eddie Goldman in place. This is a team that needs to win now and may find the best way to spend their money is by building on their already solid defense.

Tony Jefferson, Safety

Prediction: New York Jets ($39M Cap Space)

2nd Option: Carolina Panthers ($37M Cap Space)

The New York Jets are looking at completely rebuilding their secondary this offseason. Darrelle Revis is already out the door with the possibility of Buster Skrine, Calvin Pryor and Marcus Gilchrist soon to follow.

Tony Jefferson is a versatile and tone-setting safety. He has knack for finding the football and can deliver big hits. Jefferson would give the Jets a physical presence in the defensive backfield.

The Carolina Panthers are another team that could be looking for an upgrade at the safety position. Jefferson could head to Carolina in hopes of landing with a team capable of making a serious Super Bowl run.
