2017 NFL Mock Draft: Free Agency Update
By Jon Dove
21. Detroit Lions- Taco Charlton, DE, Michigan
The Lions have done a nice job thus far in free agency addressing their holes on the offensive side of the ball. However, they still have some issues on defense that need their attention. The most notable is improving their pass rush.
Charlton is a versatile edge rusher who wins with quickness, length and power.
22. Miami Dolphins- Gareon Conley, CB, Ohio State

Gareon Conley really helped himself at the combine where he showed his elite top-end speed. He has put himself in the 1st round mix and would be a great fit with the Miami Dolphins.
23. New York Giants- David Njoku, TE, Miami
This might be a little bit of a luxury pick for the Giants, but they do have a need for a tight end capable of creating mismatches. A pass catching group of Odell Beckham Jr, Brandon Marshall, Sterling Shepard and Njoku would be nearly unstoppable.
24. Oakland Raiders- Haason Reddick, LB, Temple
Haason Reddick has been a late riser in the draft process because of how he was used at Temple. The Senior Bowl allowed him to show his versatility and the fact he can play the role of a traditional linebacker.
Oakland has a need for a linebacker in the middle of the defense. Reddick’s ability as a pass rusher only brings added value.
25. Houston Texans- Jabrill Peppers, DB, Michigan
The Texans have already lost A.J. Bouye and Quintin Demps via free agency and may need to cut ties with Johnathan Joseph. Jabrill Peppers is a versatile defender who projects as a safety but has played cornerback in the past.
In fact, I still feel his future is at cornerback where he could be a lock down defender.
