S. LSU. Jamal Adams. 11. player. 15. QB Drew Brees and the best offense in the NFL not make the playoffs isn’t a good look. The New Orleans Saints defense has been that bad, not stopping anyone the last couple of years. When a defense is that bad with a great offense, games can go either way for a team every week.
And the Saints came out on the short end of those can-go-either-way games a few times too many. Opposing QBs kept up with Brees and the offense because the defense had no rush or coverage.. Cameron Jordan did his thing at one DE and DT Sheldon Rankins showed something when he did play.

The Saints needed solid edge rusher on the other side of Jordan so they signed Alex Okafor. They also need a CB so they’re negotiating with Malcolm Butler, a restricted free agent with the New England Patriots. The Saints don’t plan to give up the No. 11 pick for Butler but rumored to have something going.

So with those two positions likely to be addressed the Saints can roll with the best player available.. And that would be none other than S Jamal Adams, who could help the Saints on the back end. Once the Saints solve their problems on defense, they could be the ones that come out of the NFC South..
