player. 87. This is the place in the top 10 that I have former Stanford RB McCaffrey landing. He has done nothing but show why he belongs in the top 10 since offseason workouts started. And the Carolina Panthers have done nothing but show why they would take him.
He’s the perfect fit for that team and will help perk up an offense that sputtered last year. The Panthers shored up their defense, which started to come around as last year went along. Ageless Julius Peppers still got it and will pick up the slack and then some for departed Kony Ealy.

Offensively, their running game fell off last year and they need a slot-WR to replace Ted Ginn Jr. McCaffrey is just the offensive weapon the Panthers need to help out in both spots. At 5’11”, 202, he’s a little small to be in on short yardage, which is why they re-signed Jonathan Stewart.

But McCaffrey can run the ball on first and second downs and move to slot-WR on third downs. He also runs well out of the shotgun so opposing defenses will have to trouble with QB Cam Newton and the spread option. The Panthers could then be a factor again in the NFC South.
. RB. Stanford. Christian McCaffrey. 8
