4th Round (No. 118)- Julie’n Davenport, OL, Bucknell

The Eagles are one of many teams that know firsthand that depth along the offensive line is important. In recent years they have had to shuffle their line because of suspensions, injuries and poor play. Those concerns are still present with players like Jason Peters and Lane Johnson.

Julie’n Davenport features the size and natural athleticism to succeed in the NFL. However, he’s very raw and needs time to develop. Davenport’s development also includes adjusting from the small school competition he faced at Bucknell to facing NFL talent.

4th Round (No. 139 via Clev)- Anthony Walker, LB, Northwestern

Northwestern’s Anthony Walker had a very productive career playing big-time competition in the Big 10. He’s an instinctive linebacker who attacks the ball with tenacity. Walker isn’t an elite athlete but makes up for that with his feel for the position.

Philadelphia needs depth at the linebacker position especially if they finalize the long-rumored trade of Mychal Kendricks.

The fact that the Eagles are so thin at the cornerback means they could use this pick on the position. This year’s draft is very deep at cornerback with the possibility to finding an immediate contributor this late in the process.
