2017 NFL Draft Big Board: Final Version
By Jon Dove
31. Jalen Tabor, CB, Florida
Tabor’s poor 40-time numbers are a major concern and should result in a draft-day slide. There just aren’t many cornerbacks who run that slow that have success in the NFL. However, Tabor could be the exception based on his instincts and ball skills.
32. Pat Elflein, C/G, Ohio State
Elflein is an experienced offensive lineman who can step in as an immediate starter. He’s someone who can generate a push off the line of scrimmage and keep pressure out of the quarterback’s face.
33. Deshaun Watson, QB, Clemson
Watson is my top-rated quarterback and the only one I’d feel comfortable selecting in the 1st round. It’s his leadership and work ethic that really standout. However, it helps that he has the athleticism and arm talented needed to succeed.

34. Kevin King, CB, Washington
King’s size and athletic profile have caught the attention of every NFL team. He also plays with solid technique and feel for the game.
35. Joe Mixon, RB, Oklahoma
Mixon is a top-10 talent and arguably the best offensive prospect in this draft. His off-field concerns will push him down but there’s still a chance he lands in the 1st round. Mixon is an every-down back who can move the chains and create mismatches in the passing game.
36. Ryan Ramczyk, OT, Wisconsin
Ramczyk’s lack of experience is a concern, but he performed at a very high level in his lone season at Wisconsin. He’s a fluid athlete capable of protecting the edge.
37. Derek Barnett, Edge, Tennessee
I’m probably way too low on Barnett, but I just don’t see a player who’ll develop into something special. He’ll have a solid NFL career, but is the type of player who’ll need help to be really effective.
38. Kareem Hunt, RB, Toledo
Hunt is a power-back who can move the pile and extend drives. He features surprising quickness that allows him to break off some long runs. His pass catching skills are still developing but he flashes enough potential in this area.
39. Alvin Kamara, RB, Tennessee
Kamara is a lightening bolt out of the backfield. He doesn’t hesitate to press the line of scrimmage and gets down field in a hurry. Kamara also features good ball skills which make him a threat in the passing game.
40. Taywan Taylor, WR, Western Kentucky
Taylor is a deep threat who can also work the underneath passing game. He’s a fluid athlete capable of easily changing direction which helps him run clean routes.
