2017 NFL Draft Big Board: Best Players Available on Day Two
By Jon Dove
11. Kevin King, CB, Washington
Original Big-Board Rank: 34
King is a long and athletic cornerback who should be able to compete for a starting job immediately. He needs to improve his overall technique a little, but this is someone with a ton of upside.
12. Joe Mixon, RB, Oklahoma
Original Big-Board Rank: 35
Mixon would’ve been a top-15 pick had he not had character concerns. On the field, he’s a dynamic playmaker who can hurt a defense with his legs and as a pass catcher.
13. Kareem Hunt, RB, Toledo
Original Big-Board Rank: 36

Hunt is a power back who can move the chains. However, he also has a surprising burst that allows him to break off some long runs. Look for him to also contribute as a pass catcher an area of his game that has been improving.
14. Alvin Kamara, RB, Tennessee
Original Big-Board Rank: 37
Kamara is a down-hill runner who has the burst to quickly hit the open hole. He’s a reliable pass catcher who brings an added dimension to the field.
15. Taywan Taylor, WR, Western Kentucky
Original Big-Board Rank: 40
Taylor is a smooth route runner who has the speed to stretch the field. He has the shiftiness to also pick up yards after the catch. Taylor could make some splash player early in his career.
16. Tyus Bowser, LB, Houston
Original Big-Board Rank: 41
Bowser is a versatile prospect who is already a strong coverage linebacker. However, it’s his upside as a pass rusher that has every one drawn to him. He shouldn’t last too long into the 2nd round.
17. Eddie Jackson, S, Alabama
Original Big-Board Rank: 42
Jackson is still on the board mainly because of the injury he suffered early in the season. He’s a rounded prospect who supports the run and can patrol the deep middle. Jackson has also shown excellent ball skills which makes him a turnover threat.
18. Malik McDowell, DL, Michigan State
Original Big-Board Rank: 43
McDowell is loaded with natural talent, but doesn’t have the motor teams look for in a defensive lineman prospect.
19. Josh Reynolds, WR, Texas A&M
Original Big-Board Rank: 44
Reynolds has the length and leaping ability needed to win in contested situations. He could quickly become a major threat in the red zone.
20. KD Cannon, WR, Baylor
Original Big-Board Rank: 45
Cannon is a twitched up athlete who gets up to full speed in a hurry. He’s someone who will outpace defenders and stretch the field. Cannon also plays with some toughness and will fight through contact.
