The Dallas Cowboys didn’t have the cap room to make any major offseason signings, but still make some nice moves. The signing of Nolan Carroll was an underrated move as someone with starting experience and leadership skills.

His veteran status will bring along rookies like Chidobe Awuzie and Jordan Lewis. Both rookies will be expected to step in and compete for starting jobs. In fact, their development will go a long way to how well the Cowboys defense performs.
Taco Charlton was a solid addition in the 1st round and could be a day-1 starter. He has excellent length, plays with a non-stop motor and supports the run. His workout numbers hurt his overall draft stock, but he played quicker than those numbers suggest.
The key to Dallas’ success boils down to Dak Prescott continuing his development and Ezekiel Elliott staying out of trouble. This team has all the pieces in place to make a Super Bowl run. They need the defense to outperform their talent, but Rod Marinelli is up to the task.
