NFL Power Rankings: Post-NFL Draft Edition

8. New York Giants
Key Additions: Brandon Marshall, D.J. Fluker, Evan Engram, Dalvin Tomlinson, Davis Webb and Wayne Gallman
Key Losses: Johnathan Hankins
I love the moves the Giants made this offseason, but their failure to address the offensive problems could be critical. Ereck Flowers is not an NFL left tackle and his struggles in pass protection threaten to derail the Giants Super Bowl hopes.

The rest of this roster is loaded with talent and enough for them to contend for a title. Eli Manning has top-notch weapons in Odell Beckham Jr, Brandon Marshall, Sterling Shepard and rookie Evan Engram. The running back position is a little thin but Paul Perkins and Shane Vereen have their positives.
Defensively, this team has top-flight talent at each level. Their combination of pass-rush options and secondary players makes them one of the better defenses in the league.
Using their 1st round pick on Evan Engram provides another pass-catching threat, but doesn’t really solve any problems. He isn’t a tight end thanks to his struggles as a blocker. New York could’ve used that 1st round pick on an offensive tackle.
It’ll be interesting to see if the issues along the offensive line can be masked enough to provide Manning with time in the pocket.
