3. player. 28. The Raiders got themselves a first-round talent, I would even say top-10 talent, in Eddie Vanderdoes. He was a top-5, five-star recruit coming out of high school, which is what most top-10 picks were. He was on his way with a great first game in 2015 until he tore his ACL.
When he came back in 2016, he was out of shape from not training because of his injury. That would bring on more injuries to the point that he wouldn’t practice and just play. That didn’t help his conditioning either so he was inconsistent and not as good as he should have been.

To see good tape on him, you gotta go back to 2014 then skip forward to the Senior Bowl. During Senior Bowl Week, he was unblockable, abusing LA Chargers second-round pick Forest Lamp. Vanderdoes, now down to 305 from 345, is explosive off the ball and wins with quick hands.

I hated to see Stacy McGee go in free agency this past offseason but I’m okay now. Vanderdoes and a healthy Mario Edwards Jr. are going to wreak havoc on the interior of the line of scrimmage, That means more pressure in the QBs face and more sacks for OLBs Khalil Mack and Bruce Irvin.
.
