The NFC East lost some good receivers from 2016.  But along with Alshon Jeffery, the Washington Redskins have another receiver that will make some noise in the division.

The Washington Redskins were in trouble at wide receiver entering the off-season.  Their top two receivers, Pierre Garcon and DeSean Jackson were free agents and both were eventually signed by other teams.

Offensively, the Washington Redskins also lost coordinator Sean McVay, who became head coach of the Los Angeles Rams.  So a lot questions on offense arose that the Washington Redskins needed to answer if they were to return to the top of the NFC East.

Part of answering those questions was to find talent at receiver to replace what departed.  Terrelle Pryor was a top free agent at his position but he didn’t receive the kind of offers that he expected.

The main reason for this was probably that he’s only played one season at wide receiver.  Before that he was an NFL quarterback but never developed into a consistent starter.

However, while Terrelle Pryor is not an NFL quarterback his size and athleticism is off the charts.  This athleticism allowed him to have a break out season in 2016 with the Cleveland Browns, where he had 77 catches for 1,007 yards and 4 TD’s.

So while Terrelle Pryor still has a lot to prove as he doesn’t have the track record at receiver of DeSean Jackson or Pierre Garcon.  But with more experience Terrelle Pryor could only be scratching the surface of how good he can become.

The Washington Redskins offense is one of the most prolific in the NFL.  Quarterback Kirk Cousins has emerged as a top ten quarterback.  So Terrelle Pryor is set to have a big season in 2017. If he does then the Washington Redskins offense will once again cause havoc in the NFC East.
