Ingram was the 18th pick in round one of the 2012 NFL Draft. His career began slowly with the Chargers as he recorded just two sacks in his first two seasons. However, in 2014 he had 4 sacks and had 10.5 in 2015.
Melvin Ingram will team with Joey Bosa to give the Los Angeles Chargers an outstanding set of bookend pass rushers. They will use a 4-3 defense under new head coach Anthony Lynn. Lynn hired former Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley as the defensive coordinator to install the 4-3.
