The Chicago Bears have some new faces on offense like QB Mike Glennon this offseason. But are the new faces enough to improve the passing game in 2017?
The Chicago Bears have made a lot of changes during the offseason to try make their passing game take off in 2017. They weren’t bad in terms of yardage last season, ranking 14th in 2016. But as a group, the Chicago Bears quarterbacks were inconsistent and that has to change.

This is Jon Fox’s third season as the Chicago Bears head coach. Coming from a Super Bowl winning team in the Denver Broncos, expectations were high for Fox in Chicago. But so far Fox has only been able to managed a 9-23 record with the Bears.
It was obviously easier for John Fox to win with Peyton Manning as his quarterback. But this off-season Fox and Bears general manager Ryan Pace made moves to make sure there is not only talent for the present at quarterback but also the future.
They signed free agent quarterback Mike Glennon to come in as the new starter. None of the quarterbacks who started games for the Bears last season are on the team. So, along with Glennon, the Chicago Bears drafted Mitchell Trubisky with the second pick in the NFL Draft.
Glennon was told that he will be the starter in 2017 and Trubisky will be given time to develop as he didn’t have a lot of starting experience in college. But for Glennon to have success, the talent around him needs to step up big time.
