2018 NFL Mock Draft: Mid-July Update
By Jon Dove
9. Indianapolis Colts- Derrius Guice, RB, LSU
The Indianapolis Colts success is tied up in the arm of Andrew Luck. However, they could make his life easier by adding a dynamic option at running back. Derrius Guice is an explosive athlete who runs with a purpose.
His hard-nosed running style is infectious and should get the entire team’s juices flowing. Adding him to the mix would take a ton of pressure off of Luck.
10. Philadelphia Eagles- Derwin James, S, Florida State
The Eagles biggest roster holes are in the secondary. Ideally, they should target a cornerback but it would be hard to pass up on a talent like Derwin James. He and Malcolm Jenkins have enough versatility to fill multiple roles on the defense.

Philadelphia could also look running back with this pick and would be a great landing spot for Derrius Guice.
11. Washington Redskins- Derrick Nnadi, DT, Florida State
Derrick Nnadi is my top rated defensive player at this point in the process. He’s features a rare combination of quickness and strength. Nnadi is capable of both stuffing the run and generating pressure on the quarterback.
The Washington Redskins need to get stronger up front and added someone with Nnadi’s talents would get the job done.
12. Cincinnati Bengals- Connor Williams, OT, Texas
If the Cincinnati Bengals fail to make the playoffs this year it will have a lot to do with offensive line struggles. They are counting on two unproven players, Jake Fisher and Cedric Ogbuehi, to man the tackle positions.
Cincinnati could find a replacement for one of those players here with Connor Williams. He’s a highly athletic offensive tackle prospect who is still figuring out the finer points of the game. However, he has the upside to be a franchise left tackle.
