29. Green Bay Packers- Ronald Jones, RB, USC

It’ll be interesting to see how NFL defenses adjust to Ty Montgomery playing running back on a full-time basis. He has success late last year, but defensive coordinators have now had plenty of time to review the tape.

The Green Bay Packers may need to target a more pure running back like USC’s Ronald Jones in next year’s draft. Jones is an explosive athlete who also brings some potential as a pass catcher.

30. Oakland Raiders- Harold Landry, Edge, Boston College

The Oakland Raiders need for a pass rusher depends on the health of Mario Edwards Jr. However, NFL teams love to collect edge rushers and feel they can never have too many. This is why grabbing a talent like Harold Landry this late in the 1st round makes a ton of sense.

Landry has flashed strong pass-rush skills but needs to produce on a more consistent basis to move up boards.

31. Atlanta Falcons- Quenton Nelson, OG, Notre Dame

A major reason the Atlanta Falcons were able to reach last year’s Super Bowl was because of their offensive line play. They have not been able to adequately replace Chris Chester which is why I have given them a guard in all my recent mock drafts.

Quenton Nelson is a true road-grader who loves to move defenders off the line of scrimmage. He would open a ton of holes for Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman.

32. New England Patriots- Mark Andrews, TE, Oklahoma

The New England Patriots still have Rob Gronkowski and Dwayne Allen on the roster, but both players come with injury concerns. Bill Belichick and company may want to invest in a young tight end capable of making plays in the passing game.

Mark Andrews is a big-bodied tight end who has the speed to attack the seam. He’s still developing as a player but has already showed his upside as a pass catcher.
