5. Indianapolis Colts

As long as Andrew Luck’s injury keeps him out of the lineup the Indianapolis Colts will be one of the worst teams in the league. They just don’t have a capable backup quarterback who can keep them competitive.

It also doesn’t help that they don’t have any other standout players other than T.Y. Hilton on the active roster.

6. Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars margin for success is razor thin. They are relying on their defense to win games while hoping Blake Bortles avoids turnovers. Based on his history, it’s hard to feel great about Bortles’ chances of playing the role of a game manager.

7. Los Angeles Rams

Despite their blowout win, the Los Angeles Rams have plenty of flaws and question marks. Jared Goff was able to light up a porous Colts secondary. However, he will face much stiffer competition as the season progresses.

There is still a possibility that the former No. 1 pick has turned the corner. Goff has plenty of raw talent and now is working with an equally talented play caller in Sean McVay.

8. Los Angeles Chargers

On paper the Los Angeles Chargers look like a team that could compete for a playoff spot. However, things haven’t gone well in the past few years with Philip Rivers under center. This team still has issue along the offensive line and key players with history of injury.
