New England Patriots. 4. team. 47. The New England Patriots slide down two notches in the rankings to number 4. Other teams are just playing better right now. But the Patriots rebounded over their week 1 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs and went on the road to defeat the New Orleans Saints 36-20. Quarterback Tom Brady exploded by throwing 3 TD passes in the first quarter to put the game out of reach early. He finished the game with 447 yards passing. Tight end Rob Gronkowski had 6 catches for 116 yards and 1 TD. The Patriots return home in week 3 to face the Houston Texans.. Beat the Saints 36-20. Previous:

Kansas City Chiefs. 3. team. 124. The Kansas City Chiefs move up in the rankings this week from Number 6 to number 3. The Chiefs defeated the Philadelphia Eagles at home 27-20. Rookie running back Kareem Hunt had another big game with 81 yards rushing and 2 TD’s. Tight end Travis Kelce had 8 catches for 103 yards and 1 TD. The Chiefs were trailing the Eagles 10-6 in the third quarter but came on strong in the fourth to put the Eagles away for good.
