The 0-2 Indianapolis Colts go on the road to take on the 0-2 Cleveland Browns in week 3.  One team get’s first win. Here is the pick for Colts vs Browns.

The Cleveland Browns have had two very tough division games in weeks i and 2.  The Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens defeated the Browns.  But for a young team they were still competitive.  And those games will help them in Colts vs Browns and beyond.

Browns rookie quarterback Deshone Kizer suffered from migraine headaches against the Ravens and backup Kevin Hogan relieved him.  Hogan came in and threw a touchdown before Kizer came back in.  After performing well in week 1, Kizer took a step back in week 2.

The Indianapolis Colts came close to their first win last week, but they ended up losing in over time to the Arizona Cardinals.  Quarterback Jacoby Brissett did about as good as could be expected, considering he’s only been with the team a few weeks.

The Colts traded for Brissett after determining that Andrew Luck would not be ready to start the season.  Luck is still not ready to play, so Brissett will start because backup Scott Tolzien played so poorly against the Los Angeles Rams.

If Deshone Kizer can get past the migraines, he could have a good game against the Colts defense.  Going against the Ravens and the Steelers defenses is good preparation for Kizer to face the Colts.  They’ve been very good against the run but against the pass, so far the Indianapolis Colts have been among the worst in the league.

But the Cleveland Browns still need to run the ball well to keep Kizer out of third and longs.  Jacoby Brissett, with another week in the Indianapolis Colts offense could also have a good game.  However, the Browns defense has been solid the first two games.  The problem has been consistency on offense.

And I think that consistency will continue in week 3.  Cleveland Browns wide receiver Corey Coleman is on injured reserve after wrist surgery.  So, the Browns mediocre Browns passing game has taken a hit.  It was inconsistent to begin with, and this won’t help.

Brissett doesn’t have much more experience than Kizer, but his time under Bill Belichick and Tom Brady in New England will help him in Colts vs Browns.  The Colts should have beaten the Cardinals last week and I think Jacoby Brissett will learn from that loss.

This will be a close, hard-fought game but I think the Colts will be the team to get their first win of the season.  Who do you think will win?
