Who will be the last winless team in the NFL?
By Jon Dove
There are currently 5 winless teams in the NFL with some of them looking unlikely to end their misery any time soon.
This weekend’s matchup of the Cincinnati Bengals vs. the Cleveland Browns will likely reduce the number of winless teams in the league. However, these two teams have been playing so poorly that we can’t completely rule out a tie.
Both teams nearly pulled off a win this past weekend, but fell apart in the closing minutes. This game is in Cleveland which should give a slight edge to the Browns. However, the Bengals are the more talented team on paper.

My prediction is that the Bengals finally snap their losing streak. Cleveland’s lack of offensive fire power will make it tough for them to pull out a win.
All of the other winless teams in the league have tough matchups. The Los Angeles Chargers are hosting the Philadelphia Eagles. This game plays into the Eagles strengths with their strong passing attack.
The Chargers secondary has been a problem all season and wasn’t helped by the recent loss of Jason Verrett. Philadelphia’s defense also promises to make life miserable for Philip Rivers. This is a group that generates a ton of pressure on the quarterback.
Eli Manning and the New York Giants have to travel to Tampa Bay to take on the Buccaneers. Tampa Bay is coming off a very disappointing loss and will be looking to get back on track.
The San Francisco 49ers might have the best chance to pull off a win of this group. They are heading to Arizona to take on the Cardinals. Arizona is operating on a short weak where quarterback Carson Palmer took a lot of hits.
His aging body isn’t going to get a lot of time to heal. Overall, the Cardinals haven’t looked like a very strong team this season. The 49ers will enter the game with extra rest and feeling some confidence from their near win against the Los Angeles Rams.
