Deshaun Watson leads Texans to 57-14 rout of Titans
The Houston Texans defeated the Tennessee Titans at home in week 4, 57-14. Quarterback Deshaun Watson threw for 4 touchdowns and ran for another.
In week 1, the Houston Texans were too amped up with emotion to give the people of Houston a win. But in week 4, rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson and the Texans gave their fans something to take their minds off Hurricane Harvey with a resounding 57-14 win.
Watson made it seem like he was still at Clemson and running circles around a college defense in week 4. Going 25 of 34, for 283 yards and 4 TD passes. He also rushed for a touchdown. The Titans rolled up 445 yards of offense to just 195 for the Tennessee Titans.
The Texans defense not only held the Titans to less than 200 total yards, but they also got five turnovers from the Titans. Four were interceptions, 2 from Marcus Mariota and 2 more from Matt Cassel, who came in to relieve an injured Mariota.
But the big story is the performance of Watson. Who since becoming the starting quarterback in week 2, is now 2-1 as a starter and had passed for 6 TD’s and 3 picks, one of which was on a Hail Mary. Watson has also rushed for 2 TD’s.
After struggling in his first start, Watson has made his transition to the NFL look easy. There will probably be a few low points to come for him, but for now Watson is giving hope to the Texans and their fans that an AFC South title is possible.

The Tennessee Titans must now hope that Marcus Mariota won’t be out too long. They need him in the lineup to keep their own hopes of a division title alive. Next up for the Houston Texans a big Sunday night game in week 5 with the Kansas City Chiefs.
