The Buffalo Bills went on the road and beat the Atlanta Falcons 23-17.  The Falcons came up short on the their last drive and came away with their first loss of the season.

The Falcons had lived on the edge for two of the first three games.  Holding off both the Chicago Bears and the Detroit Lions on last second drives to slide away with wins on the road.

But this time it was the Falcons who were behind and needing a touchdown on the last drive to come away with the win.  However, they could seal the deal, as Matt Ryan’s pass to Taylor Gabriel fell incomplete on 4th down deep in Bills territory.

Ryan’s turnover bug also continued in week 4, as he threw 2 interceptions and lost a fumble.  Matt Ryan now has 5 interceptions through four games after throwing just 7 all of last season.

More bad luck came to the Atlanta Falcons during the game, as Ryan also lost his top two receivers to injury.  Both Julio Jones and Mohammed Sanu went down and didn’t return.  Jones with a hip injury and Sanu with a hamstring.

But turnovers were the key to game, as the Falcons out-gained the Bills 391 yards to 281.  However, the Buffalo Bills took advantage of their opportunities and Tyrod Taylor converted on some key third downs.  Both with his arm and his legs when it counted the most.
