The 2-2 Minnesota Vikings go on the road to take on the 1-3 Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football in week 5.  Here is the pick for Vikings vs Bears.

After a 1-3 start, the Chicago Bears have made a change at quarterback.  Rookie Mitch Trubisky starts in place of Mike Glennon.  Will Trubisky’s presence make a difference in Vikings vs Bears?  Or is this just a move by Chicago to get a head start on the future?

The Minnesota Vikings need to find out about their starting quarterback as well.  Sam Bradford could be ready to return as the starter after sitting out three games with a knee injury.  Head coach Mike Zimmer will make a game time decision on Bradford.

Otherwise, Case Keenum will start.  But what of Trubisky?  What does he bring to the Bears offense that Glennon could not?  For one, he brings mobility.  Mike Glennon is not the kind of quarterback who can create with his legs.  Mitch Trubisky can escape from pressure and keep plays alive.

He can make all the throws but the Bears receiving unit is not among the most talented.  So the Bears will try to take pressure off Mitch Trubisky by running ball with Jordan Howard and Tarik Cohen.  Trubisky can pick up yards on the ground also.

But to beat the Vikings, the Bears must end their turnover problem.  They are worst in the NFL with a -7 in turnover differential.  To win Vikings vs Bears,  Chicago must be on the plus side of that equation.

However, even if the Bears do these things, I don’t think they can beat the Vikings.  If Sam Bradford is healthy and can play, then the Bears have no shot.  But even with Case Keenum as the starter, the Vikings have more weapons on offense like Stefon Diggs and will hold the Bears off.

Mitch Trubisky fits better into what the Bears are capable of on offense than Mike Glennon.  He will have some success in moving the ball and sitting back watching has helped him see what Glennon did wrong.  But in the end, the Vikings win.
