The Pittsburgh Steelers went on the road to defeat the Kansas City Chiefs in week six. In doing so their star players had big games but the Chiefs stars did not.

The Kansas City Chiefs came into week six with a 5-0 record and their offense hitting on all cylinders.  However, that all came to end as the Chiefs suffered their first loss and the Pittsburgh Steelers rebound from a bad loss.

In week five, the Steelers got drubbed at home by the Jacksonville Jaguars 30-9.  A game where quarterback Ben Roethlisberger threw 5 interceptions and the Steelers defense gave up 231 yards rushing to the Jags.

However, it seems the loss served as a motivator for the Steelers as they held the Chiefs to just 13 points.  Especially when the Chiefs came in averaging 33 points a game and their offense ranked among the best in the NFL.

The Pittsburgh Steelers defense had an outstanding performance.  They held the Chiefs to just 28 yards rushing and just 251 yards total.  Chiefs star rookie running back Kareem Hunt could only muster just 21 yards on the ground after going over 100 yards in four of his first five games.

Ben Roethlisberger went 17 of 25 for 252 yards, with 1 TD and most importantly just 1 interception.  Running back Le’Veon Bell had his best game of the season with 32 carries for 179 yards and 1 TD, while receiver Antonio Brown had 155 yards and 1 TD on 8 catches.

It’s just one game and the Chiefs were bound to slip up at some point.  But the question is could this be a prelude to things to come or just temporary hiccup?  For the Pittsburgh Steelers, can they use this win to go on a roll or will their up and down season continue?

We’ll see as the Steelers return home in week 7 to face their AFC North rivals the Cincinnati Bengals.  The Kansas City Chiefs go on the road to face the Oakland Raiders.
